This was a big guy! He wasn't scared of us at all.
Purple Gallinule-- one very colorful bird..... who never ever seemed to stand still enough for me to photograph properly.
One of my favorite birds -- the great Blue Heron
Their wingspan is over 6 feet!
Yolanda, thank you for the kind words you always leave on my post. Just so you know, I cheated a little. Those are watermelon kitchen towels, not napkins. Sometimes, in the summer, I like using kitchen towels because they are more absorbent and I find outdoor eating a little more messy (but fun!). Love those crocodile shots. He's King of the Swamps and he knows it!
