The National Gallery of Art. Oh how I could spend days and days in these 2 buildings! But, I had my husband & son with me-- so I tried to not spend all day there-- as tempting as it was. We saw everything from Monet to Van Gogh to Degas... very cool! It's the sculptures that translate best to photos, so that's what I've put here. A few of my favorites.

These are wonderful! How exciting! I've been in the Nat'l Gallery and lost myself in the paintings; I wish I'd seen these wonderful sculptures.

ReplyDeleteOne of my daughter's favorite stops during her trip to DC. Sadly when my son went with his 8th grade class they missed this gallery all together - too bad, because it is truly enchanting.

ReplyDeleteReally nicely photographed! It looks like they've nicely positioned some of the sculptured near windows where they can get some natural light. How thoughtful of them for us!
